
Jamaica is one of the most frequently visited destinations that attract the business of several major airlines in the Caribbean. The Island has two International Airports, the Norman Manley located in Kingston (KIN) and the Donald Sangster in Montego Bay (MBJ). For airline and flight information we recommend you contact the airlines or your travel agent.
Remember, in Jamaica vehicles are driven on the left.
Arrival at the Airport
If you are traveling directly to Golden Shore, we advise that you travel via the Norman Manley Airport in Kingston. From Norman Manley airport you’ll travel to the second round-a-bout make a right turn, travel along the coast to Yallahs, Morant Bay to Lyssons, approximately 1hr drive.
If you are traveling via Montego Bay Airport, your options to Golden Shore would be intra-island flight to Kingston and then by road to Golden Shore. Or you may travel by road from Montego Bay by way of highway 2000 via Ocho Rios, Kingston to Golden shore in St Thomas, approximately 6 hrs.You may also choose to travel via Negril, Sav-la-mar, Mandeville, Kingston, to Golden shore in St Thomas, approximately 8 hrs.
Ground Transportation
Most major car rental companies operate in Jamaica; we recommend that you make your car rental arrangements prior to arrival. There are also a number of local car rental services most of which can be found on the internet. If you wish to travel by taxi, arrangements can be made on arrival at the airport.
